im thinking of a rubber duckie theme?

its for a wedding! what are your ideas? instead of the bride n prettify on the block a bride n grrom foam score on top….and production bouquets w/ ducks!!! anything added i should use?

for the bachelorette party you could give out ‘I Rub My Duckie’ - naughty but fun
Hey, if rubber duckies are your thing- go for it! Is the groom OK with that? Mine would have a full-on strop about it if I wanted to adorn the cake with duckies. He IS open-minded about the funny “groom running away” cake topper, though, so that’s cool. Just make sure your personality is reflected in your wedding. I hate impersonal affairs.
For a decoration, use small rubber duckies instead of floating candles.
This website sells a lot of varieties of rubber duckies.
I know some brides that used slippers instead of high heel shoes during their wedding. So they would be more comfortable. You could always find fluffy duck slippers and wear them under your dress.
How about a clear bowl of water on the table with a duck floating in it at centerpeices?
If this is the theme you want that is about as far as I would go. Otherwise it will probably look like a daycare.
this is a dumb idea
Yikes…as long as you don’t regret it later…go for it.
Any other time I would give my usual speech about how the only “themes” a wedding should have are the fact that it’s a wedding and a color scheme. However, for your particular question, I have to say that out of all the themes I’ve seen here on Y!A that yours takes the cake as the tackiest and most “out there”. And this is coming from someone who attended a wedding a month ago that featured smiley face balloons strewn around at the reception! Unless you want your wedding to go down in history to your guests as the tackiest thing they’ve ever seen, I’d suggest reconsidering your little theme.
I think this could be done really nicely with bright table linens or runners in a cheery blue color with yellow accent pieces (napkin rings or placemats). You could also use little rubber ducks in bulk as wedding favors that sit on the plates doubling as table decorations.
